Hello - the system can be set to backwash every night, or once a week or other frequency based on your needs. It Depends on how much sediment there is and if you notice a pressure drop. Most folks have it set to backwash every three or four days; some once a week; some with extreme water have it backwash every night. Turbidex has been around for many years and the company is a well-established U.S. company. It's very unlikely they'll be out of business in six years Although other brands such as Chemsorb are also available that use the same mined material .
